Today, March the 15th was the final “SportsNight” show as you know it…Cumulus Media has decided to not renew my contract and to pay off the remainder of Joe Biddle’s contract…thus ending are employment agreements with 106.7 The Fan…
It has been an interesting yet exciting ride over my 7 years on the show and for Joe’s 20 plus years…lots of good/bad/ugly yet lots of fun….and with out a doubt a great learning experience….
To those who have been guests on the show or those who set up guests for us, thank you…there is NO doubt in my mind that we put together the best guests line-up in the Southeast…
To those who have been loyal listeners, thanks to you all…hopefully you enjoyed the show…
To my co-workers and sponsors, thanks for your support and belief that Joe/I could win in this market….
To my personal friends, thanks for your thoughts and please keep me and Joe in your prayers…we will be back…someday…
While I am only 30, I have been able to do a lot in my 7 years in this business and have made a lot of unbelievable friendships and have had the chance to do some amazing things….Super Bowls, Final Fours, BCS games, NHL playoffs just to name a few…while I could go on forever and there are a lot of awesome stories to tell and a lot of other “issues” involved, I hope I get a chance to speak with most of you personally over the next couple of days…
Not sure what is around the next corner for me…but open to any and all opportunities….and please pass any along that you might have….
From this point forward, please contact me at blakefulton@comcast.net
>> There is a possibility that Blake, Joe and Pete may be reunited over at 560.
Haha haha ha ha ha ha-ha ha! ROFL! Haha ha ha haw haw haw! Woo hoo hoo hoo! Ha ha ha ha! I can't stop! Ha haha ha ha! Ha ha! That's the funniest ha ha ha thing I've heard in a long time! Hoo hoo! Whoo hoo hoo! Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Whew. Whew. Oh no. Haha haha ha ha haha ha ha haa haa!
This website should be called Nashville SPORTS radio rumors, could we talked about something other than the sports stations around here?
Although, as long as we are going to talk about The Fan, it's going to be the Rooster again in no time. So there will only be one sports station to talk about, Thank God!
I agree. It seems to be always about sports talk stations. There are also news/talk and music stations in town, and their talent and happenings are more interesting.
Hey, last two anonymouses: The sports talk fans will dominate unless you start posting about non-sports stations. There's a few topix on the front page, or just post under the top topic. Either way, all you need to do is just participate!
You're right! I get the feeling that most of the people who post on this board are people who LISTEN to sports talk, as opposed to people who actually work in the business.
Kevin Wall is now my morning talk show. He is old school radio with a knowledge of marketing to today's audience. I like him, Gill is just bitter and bad.
As for the cromwell stations, is anybody listening? No
It's unpleasing to the ears, what are they on a phone line or something? The morning show is traggic, not the people the sound quality, I just can't listen.

Yes, but even the topic about the river turned into talking about sports radio. geez!

Why don't we start talking about some of the other stations on this thread? Turnabout is fair play.
Which of the morning talk shows do you like better, Steve Gill or Kevin Wall?
What will Cromwell's next move be in its constantly changing lineup?
Is anyone even listening to the Cromwell stations?
Kevin Wall is now my morning talk show. He is old school radio with a knowledge of marketing to today's audience. I like him, Gill is just bitter and bad.
aaaaah see now this is nice.
